I have been to this office times - it is only two blocks from my work. The first two times I waited an hour. The third time, I called ahead to see if they were backed up. They said no and that I should come early as they could take me immediately. I walked over and waited minutes (it would have been 15 if they had not taunted me). That said, the staff and doctors seem to do a good job even if they are more expensive than local alternatives (maybe reconsider if you are on a budget without insurance).

Dr. Mandel and his entire team were terrific! I wore glasses for 2 years and now my vision is perfect without them! The entire process was easy and smooth. Dr. Mandel and his team took as much time with me as I needed and walked me through every step. I have sent many friends and family members to Dr. Mandel!

I cannot believe it took me so long to finally have Lasik done. Dr. Mandel was recommended to me by a family friend, he is the absolute best doctor for the job. I was of course very nervous and hesitant, but Dr. Mandel put me right at ease. He has a wonderful demeanor which makes you feel very comfortable. I highly recommend him to anyone who is inquiring about Lasik! Thanks again Dr. Mandel and everyone at Mandel Vision.

From day one, Dr. Mandel and his staff have been attentive, respectful, diligent, and always tried to accommodate my schedule. My wife and I had the LASIK procedure done a few days ago (one day apart from each other) and had a very good experience. I now have better than 2/2. Any type of surgery can be nerve-racking, especially eye surgery. The entire procedure (for both eyes) takes about 1 minute, but there is a lot of preparation involved. The doctor and his staff walk you through the entire process and test your eyes using all sorts of machines. The doctor spends as much time as you need to explain the procedure (negative and positive) and helps you make your own decision. The day of the surgery there are a few more tests and then the procedure. After, you go home and rest. The doctor himself calls you to see how you’re doing. There is a next day follow-up, where the doctor tests your new vision and makes sure your eye are OK. My wife and I have a follow-up next week again to keep track of progress. The entire experience has been great. I highly recommend Mandel Vision to anyone.

I would recommend Dr. Mandel to anyone. I have needed glasses for the past 1 years and I didn't remember what it was like to see. Also I wore contacts for the past 16 years and my corneas were slightly scratched. I'm so lucky I found a doctor who knew how to best fix my vision without damaging my eyes. I wouldn't have trusted those "Lasik for under $2!" clinics. Everyone I've ever spoken to in the office was wonderful and helpful. I only wish I had gone years ago.

I am very happy I chose to have my LASIK surgery at Mandel Vision. The entire staff was outgoing and professional from the moment I scheduled my consultation. They made sure I was comfortable and were happy to answer any an all questions I had. I thought the surgery itself was actually pretty cool, but they still made sure I was as relaxed as possible during it. I highly recommend that anyone thinking of LASIK considers Mandel Vision as a top choice. Thank you to Dr. Mandel and the entire staff!

We visited Dr. Panarelli's office in April/21 for an eye exam for our son (age 4). The experience was very pleasing. Dr.Panarelli's interaction with my son was superb. He was engaging, made our son feel really comfortable all throughout the whole exam (included pupil dilation, intraocular pressure measurement, color-blindness test, inner eye exam, ...) and a a few funny ways (including a couple of remote controlled moving dogs) to make sure our son was moving his eyes in the direction intended by the doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Panarelli.

I came in as an emergent referral by Dr. Sarah Lilly. I had a lot of photosensitivity and discomfort in my left eye and couldn't figure out why. I came in, filled out the paperwork, and within 15 minutes was ushered into a room. A quick look by Dr. Nagel and she was able to tell me I had a corneal infection. After the prescription was filled and applied, I was better in a week's time. Thank you, Dr. Nagel!

My first visit to the office. My wife is a patient of Dr Nagel's uptown and her downtown office is a very short walk from my office, so I decided to give her a try after my previous eye doctor retired. Dr Nagel was friendly and informative as she conducted the examination, which was initiated by one of her more junior associates who handled the preliminaries. The office was bright and open. It is down a flight of stairs in a space that it shares with another medical office, though I don't remember what it was. Everyone was friendly and professional and made me feel both comfortable with their competence and welcomed by their warmth.

Dr. Nagel was very kind and professional when I can into her office a week ago with a painful eye irritation. Dr. Nagel has a wonderful manner and even asked me to describe my experience in my own words. It is very comforting to know that a doctor was interested in listening to what the patient had to say about there own experience with their suffering. Dr. Nagel also took the time to explain the possible cause of my eye irritation and what she would do to treat it. My eye had recovered and I have found a wonderful doctor that I feel I can trust. Thank you.

Dr. Stanley Chang saved the eyesight in my left eye. A previous NJ eye doctor had left me blind in that eye. Dr. Chang correctly diagnosed the problem, and as soon as the retina detached for the rd time, he returned 5%+ of the eyesignt in that eye. He is my hero and continues to follow the disease to prevent a re-occurrence.

Dr Pamel and his knowledgeable and proficient team made getting laser eye surgery the most pleasant experience possible. Dr Pamel and his team ran as a well oiled machine. I was in and out of the doctors office within minutes. Every member of his staff from the receptionist to the technicians were polished professionals. The surgery was a breeze Dr Pamel made me feel very comfortable and answered any and all questions I had throughout the surgical process. This amazing, revolutionary surgery took only minutes from start to finish. The staff hailed a cab for me after morning surgery, and made sure I arrived to my hotel safely. I took a nap, went back to the doctors office later that afternoon and by the end of the day I was shopping in Bloomingdale's. As a member of the KIA Speedskating Academy hoping to represent the USA in the upcoming 214 Winter Olympics I know the importance of having perfect vision, as having a contact fall out in the middle of a race can potentially make the difference between a podium finish or not. Dr Pamel and his team made me feel safe and comfortable throughout my whole surgical experience. Now thanks to Pamel Vision ' Laser Group I have better then perfect vision, I have 2/15! vision.

I had my LASIK procedure done by Dr. Pamel about months ago and it has been by far one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. You can’t put a price on the convenience of just waking up in the morning and being able to see perfectly. No more glasses and especially no more annoyance from contacts which were getting more and more unbearable for me. Dr. Pamel is consistently regarded as one of the best surgeons in the field and after doing extensive research on other practices, I knew I made the best choice of putting my eyes in his care. I now have 2/15 vision (2/4 before surgery), along with the second most important outcome: no side effects. I was very worried about long-term dry eyes and night-time vision problems which have made many people regret getting LASIK done in the first place. Dr. Pamel and his staff do multiple thorough pre-op exams to ensure the best possible outcome. He was very blunt and did a great job explaining the probability of a successful outcome and the potential risks for my particular eyes. It goes without saying that only the latest technology is used to perform the procedure, with all aspects custom-tailored to your specific eyes. I got the sense that Dr. Pamel genuinely cares about your well being and wasn’t desperate for my business as other practices seemed, which made me feel comfortable. His staff before, during, and after surgery were wonderful and very accommodating (they scheduled a Friday evening procedure just so I wouldn’t miss any work). I highly recommend anyone who is interested in the procedure to at least consult with Dr. Pamel, you will not regret your decision!

I am a member of the US Speedskating National Long Track Team training with the hopes of representing USA in the 214 Olympic Games. This month, I had the incredibly fortunate opportunity to receive LASIK at the hands of Dr. Pamel and his staff. The entire experience was beyond compare. Everyone I interacted with at the office was friendly, knowledgeable, and they completely killed off my remaining fears surrounding the LASIK process. The actual procedure was unbelievably easy and took less than 1 minutes. I woke up the following morning with 2/2 in both eyes. I have been wearing contact lenses for roughly ten years and the notion that I can now get up every day with the ability to see leaves me dumb-founded. If you are considering LASIK but find yourself with reservations, talk to the people at Pamel Vision ' Laser Group. They have a great 1-minute video that explains LASIK in the simplest terms. After watching it, I had a solid understanding of the procedure and was ready to hop on the operating table that second. LASIK has already made my day-to-day so much easier and care-free. It eliminated the issues I dealt with of wearing contact lenses while skating. I honestly can not say enough good things about LASIK, Dr. Pamel, or the fine people working with him. I owe a lot of thanks to them all.

I am a member of the 212 Long Track Sprint National Team training in hopes of representing the United States in the 214 Winter Olympics. I had the opportunity to come out to New York to Pamel Vision and LASIK Group to receive the LASIK procedure and am SO THANKFUL for that. Dr. Pamel and the rest of his team are World Class at what they do. It is now the day after surgery and already, my vision is 2/2. Like most, I was a little anxious before the procedure but the staff did such a great job at explaining each step of the process to make me feel at home. Before I knew it, the procedure was complete (WITHOUT ANY PAIN)! Words cannot describe how thankful I am to have had this opportunity- Not only will this enhance my performance on the ice, but in everyday activities as well. THANKS DR. PAMEL AND THE REST OF THE TEAM, it has been an AWESOME experience!

I WORKED THERE FOR 7 YEARS, THE RESIDENTS, ATTENDINGS AND STAFF ARE AWESOME. UNFORTUNATELY THE ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF OF AMBULATORY CARE IS TERRIBLE. THEY BLATANTLY SHOW THE STAFF THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEM. DR. TENNARO AND JOHANNA SICA ARE THE WORST PEOPLE YOU CAN HAVE AS YOUR BOSS. THEY DON'T HAVE A CLUE HOW TO RUN THE CLINIC AND THEY LOSE LOTS OF GREAT STAFF BECAUSE OF IT. MT. SINAI MANAGEMENT YOU SHOULD LOOK INTO THAT.

I visited today to pick up a friend after a procedure. When I arrived on the 5th floor, I was sent to the back where a group of nurses were at a station. I asked about my friend, and was met by blank stares. No one knew who she was. Go to the television room and you will be called when she is ready. Fine. However, my friend finished her cataract surgery and came out to find me (using her cell phone) with no involvement by the staff. As we were about to leave, my friend asked a nurse if she needed to check out or anything. Oh, yes! Tell them you are leaving. We went to the same nurse's station and were greeted by the same blank stares. Then one nurse looked at a clipboard to find my friend's name. OK -- you can leave, she said. Of course she was supposed to be accompanied -- and it's disgraceful not to be familiar with the names of patients being treated. I was not impressed.

Seems like mixed reviews, but my experience was excellent. Arrived on time and was promptly taken care of at admissions. Took maybe 5 minutes to get through my paperwork. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Nurses great. Dr. Silver fantastic. Seemed like new equipment on the 2nd floor in surgical center. I was in and out on time as expected.

I've been going to Dr. Muller for over a year now and I wouldn't trust my eyes to anyone else. She recently performed LASIK on my eyes and it was GREAT!!!! I researched many LASIK doctors before picking Dr. Muller. She talked me step by step through my LASIK and the follow up. My eyes are very important to my work so I put a lot of trust in Dr. Muller's hands.

Dr. Muller recently did my LASIK surgery and the results are amazing! I could not be happier. I was a little hesitant about the procedure not really knowing what to expect, but could not take it with my allergies and contacts anymore. She is excellent at what she does and really makes you feel at ease with and throughout the entire process from your consultation through to the post-op appointments. I highly recommend her, she really cares about her patients and her office staff are always pleasant and there to help you with any questions you may have.

The office is amazing and gorgeous. You’re greeted by a wonderful and pleasant staff who always have a smile on their faces. I was able to go into the room right away with minimum wait time. I was first greeted by an optometrist who was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. She gave me a preliminary exam all the while being kind and explaining every process. Soon thereafter, I was greeted by Dr. Muller who was strikingly charismatic. I have been to several doctors and they were unable to diagnose my condition. Dr. Muller was able to explain in great detail every step of my treatment and was able to finally provide me with a plan to get better. I have been going to Dr. Muller for several months now and have seen great improvement. She knows what she is doing, hands down!!! Every time I have called with questions, the staff was able to answer politely and professionally. I have recommended her to many of my friends and associates.

I strongly recommend seeing Dr. Muller!!! I found her online after reading reviews from over 2 patients that said how smart, thorough and compassionate she is. Some people said she is expensive, but she takes my insurance and I want to see the BEST, most progressive ophthalmologist with the latest hi tech equipment after all, I only have one pair of eyes. It was a great decision- I have never felt so well taken care of. On my first exam Dr. Muller found a bump on my eyelid, showed it to me and asked me if I wanted her to watch it or biopsy it. I opted to have her biopsy it and the pathology report showed it was a viral wart. I am SO happy it is no longer on my eyelid! Dr. Muller is exactly the kind of physician I was looking for- so meticulous and so approachable.

Seriously the best!!! I am one of those people that never writes a review, but I had to after my experience with Dr. Muller. She is very professional, competent and thorough and takes the time to listen and to explain everything in layman terms. I have seen several ophthalmologists with the same complaint and symptoms, but I wasn’t properly diagnosed or treated. Dr. Muller correctly diagnosed my problem on the first visit, prescribed the proper treatment and I am finally seeing (no pun intended) great improvement. Her office on Park Ave is absolutely beautiful and very high tech with all the latest equipment. The staff is extremely caring, knowledgeable and service oriented. I have already recommended Dr. Muller to several of my colleagues and friends and they have all had excellent experiences. Coincidently, when I mentioned Dr. Muller to my Internist/ regular doctor at NY Presbyterian Hospital- Weill Cornell Medical Center, she told me that not only does she refer all of her patients to Dr. Muller, but that she is a patient of hers as well. I couldn't recommend Dr. Muller more highly don't even bother going to anyone else!

I read all the rave reviews for Dr. Hayashi, saw that she had great credentials from Princeton and Cornell, and booked an appointment with her. What an awful experience! The waiting room was windowless, with wall to wall people. When I asked the receptionist about the room's dim lighting thinking maybe it was for people with some sort of eye condition, I was told this lighting was normal. Perhaps they are trying to save on electricity? I arrived at 12:45 for a 1 pm appointment. At 1:15, I turned to the girl sitting next to me. She had arrived for a 12: appointment and was still waiting, with no end in sight - it was a LONG line, two dozen or more people, few of whom were not speaking English. The impression I got was that of a medical mill - although the doctor charges full price - $1 for a first visit, with no discount for the uninsured. And they ask you to pay before you ever see the doctor. For that price, I expect something other than a dumpy office. The other clue was that the intake form asked how I had heard of Dr. Hayashi. (Her name came out on top at Google) And then it asked I knew of her through a Google ad. Is there a connection here? I knew if I waited an hour there, I would be depressed, so I cancelled my appointment, got a refund on my prepaid bill, and walked out.

Dr. Hayashi has been a terrific doctor to me and my fiancee. I had the hardest time convincing him to even go to the doctor, but Dr. Hayashi even persuaded him to wear contacts! It was a life changing event as he can run, hike, etc. without having to worry about his glasses. She was the perfect balance for us between clearly top notch training and experience and being able to communicate to every day people. I highly recommend going to see her!

Been meaning to get the surgery for years but always had some conflicts or reason that popped up prevented me from doing it until this year, i finally had the flexible spending set up so i had to do it or lose the money.I saw a few ads online which i went for consultations and then i saw their ad online so i decided to call. I wanted see a few places before deciding. I set up the consultation over the phone and it was easy. they put in in for days later because they were very busy. phone girl was polite and worked with my time because i didn't want to miss work for my consultation. They text and called a day before to remind me of my consultation so that was nice. Showed up to the consultation to a very modern office with a nice staff who greeted me. They offered water and showed me around the facility. Filled out all my information on a touch pad device that was very cool and modern. Waited about 1 min and then some measurements were performed. They spent a lot of time talking about the Lasiks and the benefits, the different devices and equipments that they have. They dilated my eyes to check and did further tests which was really cool. I met the Doctors and got a full exam about my eyes. They all took their time with me and did not rush at all and I really liked that even though the place was very busy. After about 45 minutes they said everything looks great and i am a great candidate for the Lasiks. I then met a finance person who walked me through the payment options. It was easier than i expected and i wanted to do the surgery soon. The price here was very reasonable since i did go to a few other places to compare so we set up the date a week later. He helped with the flex spending because it was confusing and set me up with a zero percent financing payment option. The day of surgery i came in with someone and it took about hours but its your eyes so i didn't want them to rush it. They did a lot of measurements and went over the meds with me. The surgery took about 15 minutes and i was done. There is no pain at all. Just the instrument they put to open the eye was a little pressure. The Doctor talks you through the whole procedure and kept telling me i am doing excellent. There is a red and green light that you have to look at. before i knew it, it was done. I had to sit in the dark room for 1 min and then i was allowed to go home. That night i slept and it felt like i had a lash in my eye. a little discomfort but nothing crazy. The next morning i woke up and i was in disbelief, I can see without my glasses. Overall i really love my new vision and this group was really nice to work with so i really recommend anyone to at least visit them for a consultation if you want to get rid of glasses and contacts forever!

I can see 2/2 by the next day of surgery...I don't have the dryness so many talk about after this type of surgery and I can drive at night (many have said that after a Lasik they couldn't drive at night) I'll recommend to anyone to go ahead with such a surgery. I do have one suggestion: is to follow all directions, the first week to be very careful (sleep with protection) and using the drops as directed. A week later: history. I am now 2 weeks after and I feel great. Dr. Niksarli himself did my surgery, he made me feel secure and the staff, they are all great..I didn't have noone to take me home so Dr. Niksarli assistant called the Cab for me, took me downstairs and opened the door for me to the Cab, that was really nice. The next day I came for the first visit, I was so happy that I said out loud to everyone at the waiting room "JUST DO IT" If anyone have doubts like I had...Just don't..Go ahead

Dr Wisnicki is the best. My child has strabismus since she was a baby. She had an eye muscle surgery by another doctor when she was a toddler, but unfortunately it is not successful. Now more than 1 years past. We want to check it up again with different doctor. We went through all the examination, consultation, pre-surgery and after-surgery with Dr Wisnicki. We were concerned whether a second surgery will help at all, considering the first one did not work. He has always been very patient to listen to us, answer our questions, and be frank to us. I know some people say the wait time is long. But I think that is his style, not rushing any patient. You will appreciate it when you get into the room. The surgery turns out to be very successful. We saw the results almost right after the surgery. I will strongly recommend him if you are looking for an ophthalmologist.

My children get their exams and glasses here and the doctors are great with the kids. My wife has also had minor outpatient surgery to remove some protein buildup near her eye lid and the experience was fine. We did not feel rushed during the exams as some others alluded to. My only complaint would be that the wait times could run -6 minutes unless you have an early morning appointment.

They don't accept any vision insurance plans. I spoke to the manager, who explained that they bill everything under medical, not optical, even if you just want an eye exam. He was rude and impatient. Reading reviews around the web I see that many others have had these same issues.

Dr. Wisnicki is a fabulous physician, but the office experience is unacceptable. Each time I take my daughter, they make us wait 2- hours before being seen! This is absurd. We continue to go because there are few specialists of Dr. Wisnicki's stature in our neighborhood, but it is profoundly disrespectful of our time. I will continue to search for another doctor who does not overbook. I am very upset and disappointed.

I was referred to this office by One Medical Group (who I love them!) and requested a referral to an opthamologist with the same level of boutique service. They referred me here. The staff service was luke warm upon checkin. They couldn't find my referral. And said if they couldn't find it, "you'll have to pay for the visit." Seriously... then - Dr. Eileen Wang was fantastic. She was clearly rushed - seemed to have double appointments but she was professional and I was fine with the quick service b/c I wanted to get back to work asap. The woman who handed me my eye glass prescription in the optometry section was great. The front desk at checkout got better when I went to make my co-pay. They confirmed that they couldn't find my (required by HMO) referral. I called back two days later... know the experience when you call a doctor's office and she/he is just doing the job and you can hear how miserable the person is? But they've done their job - so you're like what the heck? Yes, that was my experience. They found my referral but I prefer to go to an office where everyone is nice. Those offices do exist, I know they do - look at One Medical Group. They have exceptional service. I will not be returning. And I will not be referring friends. And, I've shared my feedback with my primary care physician's office. Seriously, why is it that the admin staff at NEARLY every doctor's office is horrible? ---UPDATE--- I called back because of a problem with my referral for this out-of-network provider. They woman who answered the phone was extremely nice she had the billing associate call me back. She was extremely nice too! So different from the previous experience I had.... she said she would call me back, it's been days but it's okay because she was extremely personable... once this is resolved, I think they merit a "good" rating here.

Dr. Sobel is a very mild, pleasant and calm medical professional. He will answer questions and explain things, which I appreciate. His staff, however, are often rude they make comments aloud about the patients sitting in the waiting area, within their earshot. They are often impatient and stand-offish on the phone. The optician is no different. If I had not been recommended to this office by my neurologist, I would probably not return here, sadly. One staff member, the gentleman who answers the phones, is slightly more pleasant, but it must be a tough working environment, with all of those attitudes being thrown around.

Dr. Sobel was professional and friendly during my exam, and the in-house optician was helpful and knowledgeable when I chose my prescription glasses. I have not had any trouble with the reception desk, even when I had to reschedule an appointment at the last minute for later the same day. It's been a good experience all around.

Having gone to Dr. Sobel for 1+ years, I can confidently say that I agree with the other complaints here: extremely long waits, incompetent AND rude receptionists. Since he bills himself as an Eye "Doctor" Specialist, he charges you (the more expensive) $ healthcare co-pay for a specialist (not the $1 VSP co-pay). Trust me you can find much better, friendly, professional eye care in NYC.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sobel's for over a decade and in that time developed a chronic eye condition that requires careful monitoring and frequent visits. From my first episode Dr. Sobel carefully explained the diagnosis and has amended my treatment as new information about the disease is released or in response to my own personal needs. He is always available to take my call and patiently explains (and reexplains!) my treatments and is particularly sensitive to how nerve wracking such a condition can be. Every time I've called the office I have been given an appointment immediately and have always felt in safe hands with Dr. Sobel and his staff--in fact I've had to go so often over the years they've become friends. I have recommended Dr. Sobel to colleagues, friends, and family for everything from a routine exam to more complex eye health matters. Given that its a small office with a large number of patients, you may be quickly be put on hold when you first call, or need to wait at the counter to speak with one of the office staff, but if you are a little patient (as well) you'll have a warm welcome.

Hi to ALL, I heard about Dr. Hufnagel from a family friend. I wanted to do Lasik and I went to see other good doctors before I came here. I used to wear contacts since I was 1 yrs old. I must have over-wore them because I kept getting infections and dryness in my eyes. Last year after my last infection my eyes would not accept contact lenses anymore . No matter what brand or what type, as soon as I would put the lens in my eye it would burn and get red and irritated. I wore glasses for the next year and was not able to do many extreme sports that I usually do because of my glasses. When I came to Dr. Hufnagel I was very worried and paranoid about doing Lasik because of the complications I had previously with my eyes. With his professional knowledge and thorough explanations he calmed me down and told me everything would be fine. I was still very nervous but decided to trust the doctor and go ahead with the surgery. I am now a month after my surgery and I see 2/15 and there are no problems with my eyes at all. Its a real miracle how something can change your life so positively . I already recommended a few friends and family to Dr. Hufnagel and I will continue to do so. I really felt comfortable and got great service from EVERYONE in the office and it was a real pleasure getting my procedure done here. Dr. Hufnagel is kind, warm, professional and is very knowledgeable in Lasik, eye-care and ophthalmology. I am blessed to have found Dr. Hufnagel and will continue to refer him to anyone looking to make positive changes in their life.

I have myopia and a strong astigmatism - ie contact fittings are difficult for me and require many follow ups. The previous doctor I saw at Mandel Vision tried to charge me $1 per follow up visit and did not tell me this until after the follow ups. I switched to Stahl Eye Center after this bad experience based on a recommendation. They take vsp insurance and so far have been very transparent and sincere in trying to help me find the perfect lens. They're not charging per follow up and have been recommending slight changes even though it is more work for them, and no additional cost for me.

Dr. Magramm is great doctor. We shared some patients before, and we spoke a few times. According to my patients, her eye exams are detailed oriented and very accurate, she explained everything from basic to prognosis using layperson's language. She is a top notch Dr, but has down to earth attitudes, and very easy to talk to. I also found out that she also volunteer her skills to care for low income household children. I thought of writing this because such a modest and great doctor like her should be recognized on what she does. Hope this information would be helpful.

Dr. Accardi is an expert. He's expert in opthalmology. He's expert in medical care. He listens. He heard and addressed the issues I had. Cataracts have been removed just as he described the process. He did the work. I had to show up, go through the admitting process, and in a few days was fully recovered and seeing better. My concern has been macular degeneration. Both my father and then my mother developed it. Dr.Accardi checks for it immediately on every visit without being asked or reminded. He's thorough. He's low key and sure handed. I've recommend him enthusiastically.

Brilliant from the moment I first called. Martyna answered the phone and was great. I was having an eye emergency and she had me come right in. In person she was even better than on the phone. Super personality and super helpful. I saw Dr. Dvoretsky and he was awesome. He is so knowledgeable and he explained everything that was going on in my eye. My follow up visits were the same. Each time greeted by the friendly and wonderful Martyna and Dr Dvoretsky took great care of me. If you need any type of eye care and you are the Heights...do not hesitate!

Dr. Chynn is simply an Excellent physician, wouldn't trust my eyes to anyone else. After reviewing closely Dr. Chynn's bio one can easily see that he has taken an extra mile (besides getting degrees from Harvard/Columbia..etc,.) to make sure that his procedures are as risk-less as possible and up-to-date with the latest research ' technologies + he has successful performed the most complex cases in the world. Bottom line - he knows what he is doing and I trust him wholeheartedly. His team is also fantastic under his leadership. The office location and an open environment is also unique, where one can come by and view the procedures via glass walls. Everyone should just stop by to see it done live and get a consultation from Dr. Chynn - he'll tell you how it is. Hope it helps.

I went in for a free consultation and Dr. Chynn and his staff are very professional and friendly. They thoroughly explained the LASEK procedure and even invited me to watch the surgery live. They are very confident of their work and I am convinced enough to go through the workups to get the procedure done ASAP! They addressed all of my questions and fears and I learned that it is much safer than LASIK. I feel very educated about what I'm going to have done, which is awesome because doctors don't usually explain things in detail for patients to understand. I was especially concerned because I have a prescription of -1. for my right eye and -8.5 for my left and thought the numbers were too high to correct. But then I learned that Dr. Chynn corrected the highest prescription in the world of -22. through laser vision correction. I was SO relieved to hear that! His staff also assured me that there are no complications whatsoever that go on during the operation. And Dr. C is so confident that he has the only glass-walled operating room in the world (it's pretty neat once you see it in person)!!! It's also amazing how he's the only person in New York who performs the safer LASEK than LASIK--shows that he truly cares for the people! On top of that, he graduated from Harvard Medical school! What more assurance than you need than to know that your doctor graduated from the top med school in the U.S.? He's awesome!!!

I had my surgery about a year ago and I had the best experience! The staff was incredibly nice. From the first appointment to the last follow up appointment post surgery the staff as well as Dr. Chynn made me feel very comfortable. The surgery was a breeze and the after care was just as easy. I highly suggest you have some help with the after care because you're vision is a little hazy at first, that fades quick though. This was the best decision I've made and I'm so happy that I got rid of my glasses and contacts. Life has been so much simpler and I will never look back (no pun intended). I strongly recommend Park Avenue LASEK to anyone!!

I went to Dr Pakeman about two years ago to do smart lipo on my neck. The procedure went well but I had to get another procedure done due to my neck structure. However my biggest complaint was against one staff member that works there. Her name is Luni. She had acted unprofessionally by flirting with me to the point that she then asked me to go to a bar with her and some drinks after work. While at the bar, as she was finishing her drink, she started acting more distant and wanted to leave. In turn I ended up paying for her drink as well as mines. She had basically used me to buy her drinks. Not only was this unprofessional but in a ways unethical. Dr Pakeman is great at what he does, but he needs more professional staff members to work for him. Aside from her, everybody else was nice.

i have had multiple bad experiences with this doctor and her office. Lets start with the first visit: The doctor spoke of many things unrelated to her profession and which made me feel uncomfortable (arrogant sexist). The examination room had un professional things in it like a hot water boiler (making tea?) and undisposed, used tissues. At this visit i was illegally charged for services which i had to pay in cash on the spot (yes, now i know better. i was new to ny then). On a second experience with the doctor i had my glasses prescription mailed to me. It turns out it was written wrong (it's okay glasses aren't that expensive right?). On a third experience i called the office to try and get my real prescription. One attendent told me she'd call me back. When she didn't i called and some one else was on the line. This one told me (after some coaxing) my prescription over the phone since they didn't want to send it or didn't know how. The prescription was again wrong. so i'm done with them and i wish them the same treatment they gave me.

I saw the Dr in early 2. I went twice, the second time waited 1 hour, (shame on me) I was then put in a room and given a test while she went and met with other people. I then had to wait for her to finish so I could do the other eye. This entire process took the entire afternoon. I have never been to such an unprofessional Dr in my entire life. When I was seeing this Dr not only did she consult a book with every question I asked she was short and seemed annoyed that I was asking questions. I am now trying to get her to fax me a eye test document for my drivers license, this process has taken over 5 days. I would advise you to skip this Dr and find someone else.

Wonderful staff and doctors. Friendly and helpful. I have been going to Madison Eyes for the past two years for any eye needs and I have been more than happy. I would give them zero stars if I could. Absolutely the worst eye exam experience I've had in the past 15 years. The doctor had a bad attitude and acted as if he had a better place to be. The technicians conducted most of the exam and kept on making mistakes when caused my appointment to be much longer than originally scheduled. Worst of all, I received sample contact lens which were the wrong prescription!! Everything that could go wrong, did. I ended up ordering glasses through Warby Parker but Madison Eyes will not return their calls to verify the prescription. It's unbelievable...! Horrible eye exam experience.

I had my surgery here 2 months ago. Number 1 they never explained that having a Lasik flap leaves you vulnerable to serious complications. There are many other options you can have besides Lasik, like PRK ' Lasek that leaves your corneal strength alone. This was never discussed. Number 2 the machine the doctor uses is an Allegretto wave which is not a true wave scan laser. Since having surgery 2 moths ago I have found out through another doctors that I still have remaining astigmatism, I did not have much astigmatism to begin with and to hear I still had almost -1. was a bad surprise. When I spoke to Dr. Bonanni, he assured that it was too early and that my eye needed to heal. He should have told me 1 month post operative visit that there was still astigmatism in my dominant eye and that why I was still seeing fuzzy. I have to pay to get another surgery with another doctor because my trust is completely lost with Gotham Lasik Vision. There is no commitment to 2/2 vision.
